As you probably have realised (if you are following me), I’m not going to regularly update my Tumblr anymore. The reason? I hate Tumblr, I honestly do. Too much junk keeps showing up on my dashboard and it really irks me a lot when something incredible stupid gets 10,000+ notes; like an ‘edit’ or a image rather than the actual original artwork.
And before you say ‘it depends on the people you follow’, well pretty much everyone on Tumblr has reblogged something once in their life amirite? So if I do control my dashboard by that much, it’s not point even looking at my dashboard since I’m going to end up following just 5 people.
Also I nearly never communicate with anyone on here. All i do pretty much is just log in, post, log out, and probably check how many notes I will receive (but i dont even care anymore). I just don’t feel any audience here.
And it’s quite sad for me to say that I’ve been blogging about my art on Tumblr for about 3 years now and I’m JUST reaching 250 followers… it’s so little interest compared some of those people who have joined later than me, and just uploading generic ‘selfies’
(On a side note, you do realise that an artist takes years to be where they are right now, selfie only takes little skill about composition, lighting, makeup skills, and literally takes only one press of a button. I just wish people appreciate art a little more on this site.)
inb4 ‘you should just draw for yourself!’ i am drawing for myself, but the main reason why I even go on the internet, let alone Tumblr, is to show my art to people. I’m willing to bet that all artists here online have the same reason, they just don’t want to admit it. BTW I’m just not going to be active on Tumblr that’s it. So yes, if you don’t like something about the internet, it’s best to leave. So I’m going to leave Tumblr until for some reason I feel like being active again.

I love the art and the style and the costumes of this picture but I really resent the way the female characters are posed as opposed to the male characters. Fiona, PB and Marceline are all posed in ways to show off the arch in their backs, their hips and breasts (and Marceline’s thigh), and the Fire Prince is just sitting in profile while the Princess is facing the viewer with more demure expression turned to the viewer. In fact, the expression on all of their faces are a bit gender segregated too. Finn is facing the side and Fiona is facing the viewer, Prince Bubblegum and Marshal Lee are facing each other and it looks like they’re talking whereas Princess Fiona and Marecline aren’t even looking at each other (well, their breasts are) and it appears Princess Bublegum is even blushing for some reason?
This is really sad. The art is so amazing but it’s just really hard to appreciate it.
Geez this is why feminists piss me off so much, even though I am a female and I do appreciate the fight for ‘equality’ and all but seriously no need to pick on every single detail, and even if it was intentional WHO CARES. What’s gonna happen? What are you gonna do about it?
